The Voice of the World. This book simply emerged from my life-process! I've been sending out a newletter called "Stardust News" for some time to a small email list of less than 500 people I've met. While doing this, I also began going outside my home before daybreak each morning to meditate on what I call "The Ravine Bench." I'd generally wear a little brow flashlight, and take my journal and a pen just in case, and enjoy the Moon, stars, and planets, if visible. Soon I found that my Mission, which I accepted, was to listen to the singular Voice of the World. Those communications (or communions?) I began to write down . . .
Dare to Surrender. In the year 2007 a mysterious woman walked into my work place and handed me a copy of the DVD of The Secret. Though I liked the film quite well, I felt something was missing from it. I learned that Dr. Joe Vitale, one of the stars of the movie lived nearby. When I heard he was releasing a new book called Zero Limits something spoke to me from that title. I arranged a book-signing for Zero Limits, which inspired me to do the Self I-dentity through Ho'oponopono training with Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len, the co-author of the book later that year. This is the story of my journey through and beyond those remarkable events, of the amazing things I learned--ands it includes encounters with some other great teachers, such as Rowena Pattee Kryder, and Orion Foxwood. However this book is really about you, about the fact that there are no limits except in your mind, about the fact that everything is sacred, and everything is alive! And in reality nothing is separate from anything else . . .
Janis and Me. While still living in Bangkok, Thailand as a boy of 15 years, I first saw a photo of Janis Joplin on the cover of Newsweek magazine which entranced me, and then I heard the album Cheap Thrills. Less than two years later, while living in Berkeley, California, I had the opportunity of seeing Janis perform twice in the same year: 1969. I have never been the same person. Though I had three opportunities to meet her face-to-face, as a shy teenager, I was not able approach her radiant authenticity. Her accidental death just when her talent was developing to new heights, was a shock I've dealt with ever since. Now some 40 years later, living in her native Texas, I'm putting together all that Janis means to me. This memoir is my way of sharing all that Janis means to me--with you.
